About My Projects

The majority of the work featured on my website based is in illustration, visual development, and animation. However, I treat my passion for marketing like another artform- one I am passionate about, and one I utilize my skillsets in visual arts to produce events, design digital marketing materials, and run advertising campaigns.

Overgrown: California State University, Long Beach BFA Pre-Production Senior Cohort Show of Fall 2022

Show Producer & Event Planner
Artist Hanna Vida presenting her work in a gallery.

As Show Producer for the BFA Pre-Production and Animation show for CSULB's Fall 2022 Senior Cohort, I oversaw all aspects of the gallery show before and during its opening day and week. Over the course of sixteen weeks, I coordinated with the event, exhibition, and design teams to bring this theme to life.

As show producer, I developed our theme, "Overgrown." The namesake reflected the life stage seniors found themselves in as college careers begin to sunset: ready to outgrow the educational potting plant we have sprouted and flourished within, and into our own wild, untamable, and beautiful freedom as we leave it.

I took on several responsibilities after the initial development. I worked with our design team to perfect brand look. I collaborated with our event team consistently, aiding with the handling of our budget. This 1000+ dollar budget was raised within 3 weeks to fund catering, event decor, and advertising materials. I co-ran the exhibition team by assisting in both planning and setting up gallery spaces with fellow artists, and take down with a smaller team.

I also had the pleasure of developing our digital exhibition, which can be found at https://overgrowngallery.wixsite.com/overgrowngallery. Similarly, I managed our social media, utilizing Instagram to showcase our 32 artists at @overgrowncsulb.

Our Fall 2022 show exceeded turnout expectations, with over 300 people in attendance. This number blew previous records.

American Marketing Association, Long Beach

Art Director

Starting as Graphic Design Intern to AMA Long Beach during the Fall 2020 semester, I was promoted to Art Director during the Spring 2021 semester. I worked closely with Creative Affairs to perfect our theme, "The Press," for the year. "The Press" takes design inspiration from both traditional and modern digital newspapers, combining them in a palette that utilizes a black and white color scheme with an additional accent color.

Over the course of my terms, I created over 50 flyers utilizing Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. These flyers were used in direct mail campaigns and social media marketing to an audience of nearly 2000 Instagram followers, and over 100 paid members.

Additional responsibilities within this role included hosting Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator workshops for paying members, streamlined internal request processes, aided in the development of our Annual Report, and hosted morale improvement events, such as our Pen Pal program during the COVID-19 shutdown.

Bogart's Coffee

Graphic Designer

Bogart's Coffee is a coffee shop located within Seal Beach, California with a lively local music scene. As a creative designated to help create visual aids for a university ad campaign project, I utilized Adobe Photoshop to design digital advertisements, mock-ups of outdoor ads, and direct mail materials inspired by the local music and artists that play in and around the shop.

"Mickey's Magical VR"

Graphic Designer

Mickey's Magical VR is a made-up brand created alongside my university team members to adapt to Disneyland's closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The product is a Virtual Reality (VR) program meant to simulate the six Disneyland Resorts across the world, as according to the preference of the user. Within the application, users can visit the parks, purchase merchandise to be shipped to them, and "ride" attractions. As the graphic designer and visual curator, I created a logo, digital advertisements, social media mockups, and outdoor advertisements after researching Disney marketing materials.

Illustrated stylized portrait of artist Hanna Vida.

Hi, I'm Hanna Vida!

I am a Southern California-based concept artist and designer with BFA in Pre-Production Illustration and a minor in Marketing. I have been utilizing digital software and traditional media to create fantastical characters, environments, and design since 2013.

Within my work, I utilize colorful contrast, fantastical subject matter, and a painterly hand. I am inspired by the very translation of my last name: life, and how it mixes with escapism by use of fantasy tropes to create something both whimsical and familiar to viewers.

Thank you for visiting my website, and enjoy your stay! Please feel free to reach out to me for any inquiries.
